Main Library Patron Assistant
Are you thinking of a career in a public library? Would you like some general experience and exposure to a recognized public library system?
Volunteers at our information desk greet and offer assistance to our Main library patrons and visitors. Some of their responsibilities include providing customer service support to patrons using the express computers located behind the information desk, answering general information questions about the library, directing patrons to meeting rooms and other areas of the library, and searching for books by title and author at the request of patrons.
This is an excellent volunteer position for an outgoing individual who enjoys working with the public and has excellent customer service skills. Positions are available on alternate Wednesday mornings from 9-12 and alternate Sunday afternoons from 3-6 p.m. This position does require orientation training and a minimum volunteer commitment of six months.
