Help LISSA Run to Quebec!

Running to Quebec!

LISSA 10K Run/Walk

Saturday, December 1 @ 2:00 p.m.

Riverfront Park, Columbia, SC

Please join us by participating in the Run/Walk or attending as a

spectator to cheer us on.

We are raising money to send several SLIS students to the IFLA

conference, which will take place in Quebec City, Canada in August

2008. IFLA stands for The International Federation of Library

Associations and Institutions. Attending this conference will be a

great opportunity for us to meet our colleagues from around the world.

To help our cause, LISSA President Travis Ferrell has promised to run

the race in progressively more humiliating garb for each increment of

$100 donated. The rest of us will be asking for sponsors and running

or walking the 10K (in regular clothing).

If you would like to get a pledge form to participate, or make a

donation, contact Margaret Hawes at

or see Travis Ferrell, Grant David Keyes, Margaret Hawes, or

Allison Read on campus. A donation sheet is up above the mailboxes

next to Student Services if you would like to sponsor a runner.
