Job: Historic Columbia Foundation

Join the weekend staff of the Historic Columbia Foundation, located just a few blocks from campus! You will get to lead tours of three 19th century house museums, including the Robert Mills House, designed by our first federal architect; the Hampton-Preston Mansion, owned by Wade Hampton; and the Mann-Simons Cottage, home to a freed slave and her family. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the houses and working in the museum shop. Visitors to the properties come from all over the United States as well as from many foreign countries.

You will work an average of one to two days per month, on the dates that best suit your schedule. Saturday hours are 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday hours are 12:30 to 5:00 pm. Our current staff includes several of your fellow USC students in addition to some recent graduates.

This position is a fun, unique job and a great resume builder. Please call Sarah VanderWood at 252-1770 ext. 32 or e-mail her at svanderwood@historiccolumbia.org for more information or for an interview. Look us up at www.HistoricColumbia.org!
